1. There is an increase of 9% in overall movement of foodgrains during 2012-13 till December,2012 compared to previous year i.e. 2011-12 till December,2011.

2. Also, FCI has successfully implemented the pilot Riverine Movement of 3000 MTs each of Foodgrains to Northern Assam and Arunchal Pradesh, to assess the feasibility of supplementing existing transportation modes to these sensitive parts of NE Zone.
