Sub: Colour Coding of gunny bags to facilitate identification of Crop Year of Stock for RMS 2006-07 and KMS 2006-07.

Sir,

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution vide their letter under reference has decided the colour coding of gunny bags to facilitate identification of Crop Year of Stock for RMS 2006-07 and KMS 2006-07 as under:-

1.    Colour coding or identification marking on every bag at a distance of about 150mm away from any one side of the selvedge shall be in "Green" colour.

2.    Stencil or Branding as per incidentals requirements shall be in "Blue" colour.

3.    Marking or stitching on the mouth of the bag after filling the grain will be done by FCI/State agencies in "Green" colour.

4.    A single blue stripe running along the length of the bag at the center shall be kept unchanged.

   You are requested to kindly take action accordingly and furnish action taken report to this office.
