Sub: Addendum to Circular No. 49/2004, Dated: 10/09/2004

It has been decided with the approval of the competent Authority to modify the following items in the fee schedule issued vide circular No. 49/04 referred above as under:

In place of 20% ceiling on the expenses, the same is substituted by ‘actuals based on certification by the counsel subject to a ceiling of 20% of the total fee payable to the Advocate in each case and amounts claimed as expenses over and above 20% ceiling will be processed only on production of the original Bills/Vouchers incurred towards the expenses”.

Note under item13

The schedule of fee is applicable subject to the conditions that the total fee payable to an Advocates in a case shall not exceed Rs. 50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Only) excluding expenditure under item 9, 10 and 11.

Henceforth the concerned Eds/Zms/SRMs as the case may be, will be competent to sanction Special fee, if any. (Fef.DOP Item 34 (VII)(b))

 

 The Cases already settled need not to be re-opened. The above modifications will be effective from the date of issue of this Circular.
