In
order toe accelerate the speed of investigation and write off of transit and
storage shortages, the matter relating to the financial powers delegated to
various authorities vide circular no. S & S/RL/34/2(1)/85 dated 9/10-5-1985
was reviewed and with the approval of the BOD it has been decided to revise the
financial powers to various authorities to write off the shortages irrespective
of the percentage of loss as indicated below :
